Jonathon & Danielle’s San Francisco Wedding

Jonathon and Danielle’s gorgeous San Francisco wedding is featured on Brides.com today, and we are so flattered to have been part of it. No one else has ever ordered a 3-color menu on double thick paper with gold foil before, and holy cow did it turn out to be gorgeous!

Their Destination Souvenir save-the-date postcards aren’t shown in the feature, but it was my favorite destination design ever.

Doesn’t it make you want to hop on a street car? I’m not proud of this, but it makes me want to watch that horrible/wonderful Keanu Reeves movie Sweet November. Anybody? Matter of fact, I think I’ll do that tonight.

Alexandra & Eric

I just received some gorgeous wedding photos by The Oberports from a couple we got to work with earlier this year and I had to show y’all. Alexandra’s dress is absolutely the prettiest I’ve ever seen and if I could get a do-over on my own gown, I would choose this one hands down.

Don’t they look so in love?

This is the part of the wedding process I have so little interaction with that it feels really good to see a couple on their day, the day their two families became one. I feel like I know them a little bit from these images. Happy day!

Erin & Ben’s cottage featured in Flea Market Style

If you’re at all interested in junque, home decorating, bungalows, fat white dogs or American flags, you might like this article on Erin and Ben’s cottage that’s out in the winter 2103-14 issue of Flea Market Style magazine. Earlier this year they gave Lucky Luxe major love in their weddings issue, so we’re big fans of this publication!

For more on the house that Lucky Luxe goes home to, read about the renovation from Erin’s daily blog Make Something Good Today or see the feature from Hooked on Houses. While you’re there, you might as well check out the cool features on famous TV and movie houses (like this one that inspired the Napiers)!

Gatsby Featured by Brides Magazine

We’ve been waiting with bated breath to see our Gatsby invitation featured in the August/September issue of Brides Magazine and today it hit shelves. It’s such an incredible blessing to get press from this publication. Thanks to all of you who put food on our table by ordering invitations from a family-run business. Y’all are the best. Really.

Hankies featured on Martha Stewart Weddings

I’m so in love with anything Martha Stewart Weddings curates. When I was first starting up with Lucky Luxe, I actually said “If Lucky is ever featured by Martha, then I’ll feel like I’ve really accomplished something.”  Not long after that in 2009, I received an inquiry from their editor and I did the squealing dance in my then-day job cubicle. I still feel butterflies anytime I see an email from them in my inbox, and this is no exception. Our Signature hankies from Jessica and Greg’s wedding are featured on the Martha Stewart Weddings website and coming up soon in an edition of The Knot magazine!

We’ve also got a couple really really exciting press features coming up this month and in September that I can’t wait to share with you!

Featured on The Wedding Chicks blog

I seriously owe Ben so big for coming up with the idea to do a Great Gatsby inspired invitation. Y’all have shown it so much love on Pinterest and the magazines and blogs are talking about Lucky Luxe and art deco weddings interchangeably. If you saw the movie, I hope you were as spellbound by it as we were. Holy cow. I’d watch it 5 more times in the theater, but it wouldn’t be socially acceptable. I spent about $10,000 on tickets seeing Titanic in 1997 and that’s enough support for Leo for the rest of my life, I think. The Wedding Chicks are on board with deco wedding style and used our Gatsby invitation in a styled shoot!

A Twin Lakes Wedding

Katy and Dan contacted us a couple months ago with a request for a whimsical Bespoke invitation for their lakeside Wisconsin wedding. I went crazy with faux bois and pine tree icons, then she decided to go a lighter, sparkling, summery nautical direction and my entire thought process shifted. I was looking at these kinds of images for inspiration on her Pinterest board, and I got carried away:

And this is the invitation that rolled off the press today:

I’m so proud of Katy for choosing the concept that was less traditional—I gave her some much simpler options to choose from, but she went with what I call the ‘sea captain’ design. I absolutely love the layering of colors.

Wedding Gifts

If you’re reading this, you’re probably on the receiving end of gifting these days. We’ve just stumbled upon a website called Uncommon Goods that has creative and unique things that would make fantastic wedding and baby gifts. Have you heard of it? Some of my favorite goodies from UG:

Colorful embroidered pillows and dish towels for every state in the US of A. I have one from the Hamptons hanging from my own oven door:

This sweet custom made pendant is engraved with the longitude and latitude coordinates of any place that’s dear to the bride:

A lovely print:

And there’s cool stuff for the groom, too. Like blueprints for a baseball fan:

Or whiskey stones that keep the drinks strong:

I felt it would be irresponsible not to share this gift arsenal with y’all. You can also see their wedding gift category specifically right here. You’re welcome.
