Lucky Luxe Featured in Flea Market Style Weddings

Flea Market Style Weddings is a brand new wedding magazine that hits shelves this week that we know all of our clients will love. It focuses on an antique/rustic-inspired style that is such a strong element of our own invitation line. We were flattered that they asked us to be a part of their inaugural issue, and Lucky Luxe invitations are featured 6 times on pages 94-99 in their invitation feature! You’ll see our Signature handkerchief invitations, Scenic Destination postcard, Cara letterpress invitation, Souvenir Destination postcard, Kate postcard, and the Lace letterpress suite in this great article. No other stationer received so many mentions in the magazine, and we couldn’t be more honored. Y’all go grab a copy!

Aly & Jordan

We’ve just finished up our first-ever invitation suite printed on black Stonehenge paper in metallic inks for a couple who are real-life friends of ours (and Mississippians too!) Their wedding will take place in Yazoo City, hometown of Willie Morris, who wrote  My Dog Skip. So there’s a little trivia for our non-southerner visitors!

Mississippi State University Foundation

Coming up in a few weeks will be the 50th anniversary celebration of Mississippi State’s foundation, and we’re tickled pink that they wanted Lucky Luxe to create something special just for the event. I’m an Ole Miss rebel through and through, but I was happy to be an honorary bulldog for this project.

Republican National Convention

We were so flattered when the Mississippi GOP commissioned a Bespoke invitation for the Republican National Convention reception being held at Disney World. Best of all, we were on the same page creatively, imagining an 1800s campaign design in a patriotic palette:

They don’t call it the Grand Old Party for nothing.

Welcome Brooke to Lucky Luxe

We got an amazing response to our job opening and actually found the perfect fit for Lucky Luxe right next door. Brooke Davis will be our new client coordinator and business manager, and she happens to be my 2-doors down neighbor. She’s a newlywed with a background in advertising copywriting and photography, and I’m super excited for all you sweet clients to get to know her in the order process. You’re going to love her. I mean, she played Dorothy in our city theatre’s production of The Wizard of Oz last summer, so she’s got to be darling!

She’ll be ready to help you place orders by mid-July.  Y’all give Brooke a warm welcome!

Now Hiring!

I am so sad to share with y’all that Annalee, the glue of Lucky Luxe that makes everything run smoothly, is going to be starting a job teaching senior high English and drama starting this August.

Her mama is the best English teacher on earth, so she got the teaching bug honest, but this means we’ll be interviewing folks to be her apprentice in July, then taking over her position as client coordinator and business manager in August when school begins. If you’ve ever been interested in working with weddings, are internet and web savvy, and have design and/or public relations experience, send an email to erin@lucky-luxe.com and let’s talk!

Spring Sale!

We’ve got a spring sale going on through the month of May, so now is definitely the time to place your order for fall weddings. All letterpress and handkerchiefs are 15% off so take advantage. For that discount, you could go with 2-color letterpress for less! Email info@lucky-luxe.com if you’d like a quote for your big day.

Milessa & Jed. A Travelers’ Wedding.

Over on  Style Me Pretty  today, you can see Milessa & Jed’s gorgeous travel-themed wedding featuring pieces from and inspired by the  Hemingway  invitation suite. Working with them was fascinating! Milessa travels constantly for work, and Jed, an infielder for the Boston Red Sox, is also traveling the world on a daily basis, and they wanted to find a way to incorporate that very important element into the story of their courtship and love. Doesn’t it just remind you of the Great Gatsby a little bit?
